Default COX HOBBIES PITTS M-12 27%

Hey guys,

I'm looking for information on the Cox Pitts 27% M-12. Who has one and how do you like it?

Is there room for canister or tuned pipe?

How 'bout CG, any balanceing issues.

I just ordered one, they are having an on-line sale $599 regular price, now for $250.

I'm thinking of using the new BME 58cc engine.

How 'bout some pictures

Thanks for starting this thread........I too couldn't resist the $250 price, $275 with shipping. I'm thinking of installing a MVVS 58 cc (Evolution) engine with a pitts inverted muffler.

Hey ChickenStick Rick, how about giving us some insight on yours?

Got the thread bookmarked.

Mine is on the way also. It's all Sleepy's fault. Not sure which engine to put in it.

Followed up on a thread on another site regarding the Cox sale..........lots of questions/concerns on whether the items would be immediately available, or delivered in 4 weeks, or delivered at all.

Here's hoping we all get our Cox Christmas presents!

Do you guys know is all those flying wires have to be assembled every time you fly? If so, wouldn't that make one too large plane to transport for most trucks/trailers?

Here's the acknowledgement of my order...

Thank you for ordering from STORE NAME. Your web order ######## for $275.00 was received on 12/20/2008 at 1:57:17 PM EST. After your order is processed, in stock items are normally shipped within 1-2 business days. Back ordered items may take up to 4 weeks for delivery.

STORE NAME is actually what was in the email.......

I just think that so many of us saw a great bargain when it came along that the stock they have on hand may not suffice to fill all the orders..........and if they're dumping a $599 plane for $250 you can bet that once they run out they're not likely to have another run made.

Bill, I got the exact same email. obviously automated and a CYA type of response. I agree with you about how may they have left versus how many orders they are getting. I guess we will find out soon.

Hey Guys,
I have built and flown this plane and I will post a bunch of pics in a few minutes. Just to answer a couple of questions. They flying wires are NOT necessary to fly except for the tail wires. There is no canister tunnel on the fuse. You have to use a bolt on muffler. I fly mine with a Brillelli 366 and balance was not a problem.

Stay tuned, I must visit the little boys room first!!

I placed mine at 1:33 pm EST. If they run out, hopefully it is after me.

That thing look pretty big! Do you have any pic's where you're by it for a size reference. Also, is there an online manual? I will most likely put a DL50 in mine. Also building a GP Ultimate with a DA50. Looks like two bipes for me next year. woohoo!
