Im waiting on the 580 and hoping to power it with this exact power system.
Have you flown the Prototype, any news on how the 580 fairs? It seems as with this Edge this new 50" class for GP will all be winners. Amir

Flown both, Both are good planes. If throwing the sticks to the corner is what you like, the cap is for you. I prefer the Edge, good 3D, a little better behaved.
But then.... those seem to be the differences between most caps and edges. |

Since you used the ElectriFly Power series 4 cell 2100 Lipo. Did you install a voltage reg like it states in the manual? Just wondering if it was a must.

If the ESC has an internal BEC, DO NOT forget to remove the red wire from the ESC lead that goes to the RX. Otherwise POOF!!

good point. Yes... remove the power lead coming from the ESC going into the rec!

hey this plane is amazing!!!!! flew my maiden in 20,25 mph wind no prob...
the setup i used is great.. E-Flite 15 950Kv Motor E-Flite 60 Switchable ESC 12x6E APC prop 14.8 V2 3300 Ma Battery good power and light will hover give it a try i think you will like it. And had to straighten the ailerons as well 1/4 inch on one side... covering iron works great
