We got the plane out to test it, and the CG was a bit off.
He has the rudder servo in the tail, and I think the CG in the book is for pull pull , or it lists both and my buddy missed it, but the plane was tail heavy. we will try to get back out again soon.
problem is getting our schedules to mesh... it's quite hard to film and fly.. so.

Any updates Sleepy?

I just picked up one but I'm waiting for parts... can't wait to fly this one.

Any comments on pull/pull vs direct tail rudder setup?

I got one waiting to build. there i also a thread over on RcGroups you hould check out. I too would like to here about pull pull vs tail. I moved my pull pull in my PA extra 260 to the tail and like it much better. Much more stable in high alpha of any sort, and it still tumbles like a Mo Fro

Yes this is a problem. I tried adding extra magnets and that did not work. Now I use a piece of Blen-Derm tape. Not pretty but it works.

A little late to this one, I just finished mine a couple of weeks ago. It has a dozen flights on it and it relly is a great transition plane (as in my first 3D plane). Though during the build I noticed a couple of things.
First- the provided crimps for the pull/pul rudder were so small I couldn't get the thread through it a secnd time.

Second- and this wasn't a problem I found when glueing the elevators useing a syringe makes it almost to easy.

My canopy has 7 magnets it's a bear to get off.

I added some yellow to mke it a little easier to see.

PS
I am trying the new Flight Power 80 Amp ESC, it has a built in BEC that can handle up to 6S LIPO. So no external BEC necessary. Also I am useing this plane for my initial test platform for the new Futaba S-Bus system.
