The new IMAC web site is going to be up and running soon, with in a week or so and it will have forms on it like these here on FG so maybe the guys that are in your area are not here on FG and maybe the new web site will help you out !

Hey Colby - it may be kind of sparse out here. I have a 30% Edge & like to download some of the IMAC sequences to practice on. I've never been to a meet... just do it for fun and to improve the flying skills. I live about an hour east of Omaha just a few miles off I-80. You might try to get in contact with Pete Rosas - he's in the Omaha area & flies the big stuff.
Thanks Terry |

I'd think there would be quite a few people from around the area on here. Wonder if there is a way to search through the FG members by location?
Any one else get in contact with you from the area? IMAC in this area - especially flying events - seems to not really exist. What plane are you using or planning on using for starting IMAC? There's a helpful FG page on the 2009 manuvers - search for "IMAC 2009 Basic Sequence Narrative " I had a good time last year by printing out the IMAC Basic and Sportsman sequences & working through them. It makes you work and focus on the precision & helps out the flying skills in general. Terry |

Try checking out the Southcentral region thread. Maybe somebody close by in that region that can help. You are more than welcome to come to Alabama!! Well maybe to far, but try that thread.

30% PAU Edge 540, some nitro planes (Funtana 40, Magic Extra 300 ext) and a bunch of foamys. Actually the Formosa flies pattern pretty well.

I liked my Giles however it flies like a rocket , very groove But whith the 150 and some tail weight it weighed 37+ lbs I ripped the gear off so I would like to lighten it and put a 100 in it. What do you think

Power is good for the IMAC stuff - lots of vertical manuvers. Throttle management should take care of the rest... unless it flies heavy. I'm not sure, since 50cc is the biggest plane I've got at the moment.... and maybe for quite awhile too! More than anything, getting the plane dialed in just right is what's important. CG, thrust line & then rudder to aileron mixing are the basics. If it climbs straight, will drop straight down with throttle at idle & hold a straight line while doing knife edge are a few things to work on. (I'm certainly no expert here, but with a shim behind the motor mount & a little mixing... the plane flies really nice!)
