And before someone else asks... the exhaust port and bolt pattern match the DL and DA so you can use any exhaust made for them.

Are they going to upgrade the 26CC version also? Looks like the HP version dropped weight and gained power over the original version. I am trying to find something that will fit on my Seagull Edge 60 size that will not weigh to much more than the 120 AX I have on there.

The original 50 will still be available. This is not an upgrade of that engine but a completely new engine. You'd have to ask Ron about the 26cc.

Al,
I am in the market for a new 50cc. This engine looks nice! How does the power compare with other 50cc's such as the DA and DL 50s? It looks like this one is pretty light too. NICE!

I think it rates with the DA. Saying that I will tell you that my beta engine is not completely broken in yet so I can't give hard numbers but I will as soon as possible. If you watch the video of the take off in the first video posted, the plane weighed slightly over 18 pounds, I pulled out of the climb at about 350'. That was on a stock muffler and a Vess 22A. I plan on going to a 23A when it gets broken in a bit more. Also, the engine does not have the usual fuel line connected to the metering plate in either video. I wanted to see how well the induction system worked on its own so I didn't install one. Seems to run great regardless of attitude. The rotary valve is the key in this engine and could make it come on super strong. Only time and more flying time will tell.

3 pounds 1 ounce with muffler and ignition? That's with prop bolts, prop washer, and stand off's? Seems pretty light.

Ron could add some lead for you if you like! LOL I get it a little heavier but the scales I used are very in doubt. LOL Ron owns a UPS store so I think his scales are probably better, and not reading light, if you know what I mean! LOL

Al, that sounds good. How do you think the engine would work with the 65cc canister setup from MTEngines? I think this link is correct...
