I AM THE BEAST MASTER !

this is awesome al. i am the underdog guy as i fly 50 cc crrc in my planes (WITH HUNDREDS OF WOT FLIGHTS) and love the lower price. this is the kind of engine that will move more guys from glow to gas. even tho i just ordered a da85 i would much rather get 2 for the price of 1. now all we need is dl or someone else to copy the 85 well....

You know me Ken, anything that brings the sport to more people. Especially young folks with all of the talents and little money. Ron at www.southeastrcengines feels the same and has gone a long way to bring some great engines to us at the lowest possible price. I figure I need to help a guy like that all I can.

As a guy who is socking away every penny I can for my first gasser it is great to see all these different engines coming along. It's not only the young guys that have trouble getting the cash together but us old retired guys also. Thanks for the heads up on this engine. 50cc is about as big as I will ever be able to go but now that I am hooked on 3D and free style I want all the performance I can get in that size range. The less I can spend on an engine the more I can spend on servos and such.

Al its engines like this that makes the hobby affordable for some of us. How's the transition with this motor having the rotary valve design? Sometimes peak RPM is great, but I'm interested in torque. Any idea on the bore and stroke, say compared to a DL. I'm just curious. Also is this a two bearing crank?

Stang, Twin bearings in the front and one one the rotary valve in the rear. Mid range is awesome. I believe the bore and stroke are the same as the DL, 43mm X 35mm.

I think the only way your gunna break the ears on this motor is, either by shimming it in correctly or crash. The older XYZ did they have any noted ear mount problems? The idle does look smooth, must be one of those rubber mounted props! LOL

The 50A engine didn't have ears. I agree with you though, no way these are going to break without a fast and hard meeting with the ground. Believe me, the idle is smooth once you tune it in a bit.

No engine is designed to crash. I haven't managed to avoid breaking something on just about every engine i've crashed
Give ya $20.00 for it Al. Tuning can't be all that hard, they come from the factory set and ready to go, right
