The only reason I even brought the mounting ears up is due to the fact many guys step up to the 50 size gasser as a stepping stone. It's much larger than what they are used too and ya, some do land hard and frequently. With the amount of 50 size engines these are the things that need to be looked at to gain a niche in a saturated market!

Curious Ken. I'm not familiar with a Gemini 180. What is it ?

I remember what was the (I believe) the first OS flat twin four stroke that was called Gemini. It was a 1.20. Seems like there is one laying around my Dad's house somewhere.

There was a twin .90 also that is also collecting dust (on the box) there also. Many many more OLD ones as well. I may even have an old OS .45 4-stroke around here which was half the .90.

Or my mind could be gone. Hmmm. I'll have to think about that one.

Had one of those. Bought it from a guy who had a 3 digit AMA number for $250-$275 about 15 years ago. Wish I could call his name he used to write for the mags years ago.

He put it on a Cub (new) and first weekend at the field a guy made him an offer he could not refuse for the new Cub without the engine. Sat back in it's box for a few years and sold it to me.

Ran like a Swiss watch and would crank with half a flip ! Hard to get my hand out of the way fast enough. Had it in a 25% Cap 21. Out of the half dozen or so flat twins I've run it was the best running out of 'em all.

Wish I hadn't sold it. But the guy I sold it to put it in a Cap 10B, a 80 inch plane made by Byron or maybe it was Yellow Aircraft which made me Happy. It was foam covered with glass I forget who put it out but he was looking for Scale Flight. Oh, did I forget to mention that when I bought it , it came with an starter ? Belt driven and mounted on the engine ? I did not use it but the guy I sold it too did. Very very Cool.

I guess it will have to wait 'til next harvest. I grow my own and I guess pickeled doesn't count ? Oh by the way I may have to send ya some of my late season jalapenos and you tell me where on the scale they fall !

The ARE the hottest jalepenos I have ever had. Anywhere anytime.

As long as they fall in the Habanero range I'm happy.
