Screw that. I'll stick to the pickled artichoke hearts and avoid the heartburn

It's not the heartburn that gets ya, it's the burn a little farther south!

Okay, I got a PM from Fritzdecat about how I mounted my XYZ 50A in my 27% GP CAP and this is the only place I can think to post the pictures for him. Bear with me on this one. LOL
Fritz I cut out the black piece from 1/4" hard ply and painted it to fuel proof it. Then I just used the right length stand-offs and mounted it like any other engine with stand-offs. Hopes this helps. THIS IS NOT THE NEW XYZ ENGINE.

Looks great you did a nice job
This engine looks like a great match for this plane, and the price is something to grin about :-) |

Looks pretty good Al, I'm interested in all new kids on the block. For another 50cc plane I'd have to use something I already have most likely. Any $$$ for new engines will be a move back up to larger planes.

Well same crappy weather here today, plus a few "other" distractions so no testing today. Hopefully things will clear up enough to get out and fly this weekend.

Al does this motor have the same bolt pattern as the DL & DA. I will be reviewing this motor in a week or two and need to know about the firewall. Also, I only have 23X8's on hand, plus one 22X8 Troy built prop. I guess I'll order a 22B Vess.

I don't believe this model is available anywhere else just yet.

Al, I never got a reply. I need to know if the mout to the firewall is the same as my DL. I'm drilling a new firewall today. If it's different, I'll wait until I get my motor to drill it. I really can't wait to fire this beast up. I guess a 22B vess is needed? I have full gas can of Belray mixed at 50 to 1. Do I need to make up another batch, or can I use it. Ron at http://www.Southeastrcengines.com said my motor should be here by mid week. YEAH! He also told me he test runs every XYZ-50HP before they ship. This his baby and he wants it to be right. Gotta like that!
