Brian, I believe the firewall pattern is the same but I would hold off drilling until it gets there. I replaced a 3MM with mine so I know it doesn't match those. I would go down and measure mine but I just got my cowl back on last night after running the engine static. Ron could give you the hard numbers. Give him a call. They should be close to 3.1" width-wise and 2.6" height-wise which is what DA and DL use. I'm running a Vess 22A on mine. I never use the B's as they don't spool up as quick on any of my engines. If you like the B go for it. As for the TBM, IMHO I'd throw it away. Ones I had loaded my engines up way too much. Just my opinion mind you but I've heard the same complaint from a lot of other guys.

What ya think Stang?? Just made them. They're only water slide decals but look good. Just don't last like vinyl. LOL

BTW Stang, I run Belray H1R at 40:1 but I don't see a problem at 50:1. I haven't been able to see any performance difference between 40 and 50 so I go for the extra protection on all of my engines. Sorry I missed that.

Al the decals look really good. I just ordered a 22b vess & 23a vess. I think the 22a might allow the plane to torque roll to much in a hover. That's what i liked about the 23a, it made stopping the roll a lot easier.

Well be sure and let us know how the B works out. Just when we ran out of snow they told me at work this afternoon they want me to fly to New Hampshire next week for the week. Oh joy, one storm pattern to another!! LOL

Hey Al, love to see XYZ giving THEM a run for their money. I followed all your earlier posts on the original 50 and wound up buying one. You gave me a tip about not running TBM props, don't know if you recall. Well, I haven't even finished the plane yet, no hurry, I live on San Juan Island, and the weather has been and will be...you know. Anyway, I'm stoked to see a new motor from them, but, I already put out the coin for the "OLD" one, and now I'm like...UUUGGGHHH!! Oh, well, maybe the next project. Mainly just posted to say thanks for keeping some of us that aren't independently wealthy up to speed on some options. And, say hey to somebody else in WA feeling my pain. Where do you fly? Might make a road trip this spring or summer with the plane and go meet some folks. I know everyone here that flys, all six of us. Thanks again, Rishelman

Hey Buddy! Glad to hear you're "almost" getting to enjoy your engine. I'm "almost" getting to enjoy mine. Perhaps when the rain stops in June. LOL I'm hoping we get some half way decent weather Sunday but you knows how that goes. Don't get washed away with this thaw coming out.
![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() BTW I fly out of the Kitsap ARCS field on the Olympic peninsula. You're welcome anytime!!

Al, I hear that there going to let you guys use salt on your roads. Something about not wanting to use it because it will harm the fish? Arent they in salt water!
