I have one with a Fuji43 on it. Lot's of fun to fly. It's far from a 3D model but it does rolling circles etc. and hovers a little over half stick. It's over powered with the 43 but it makes it fun. Scale flight is under 1/2 throttle and looks very nice in the air. I am going to take off the wheel pants and put on 6" balloon tires.

Sure is a nice looking plane, always been a fan of decathalons. What were your overall impressions of the plane?

Mine was one of the earlier kits. The lines on the cowl didn't quite line up with the lines on the fuselage. The covering on mine was cheap "Chinakote" and the clear film has separated form the color in a few spots. There was also some issues with the strength of the wingstrut attachment points on the fuselage. From what I have seen on the other forum these issues have been dealt with on the later kit runs. It is fun to fly. The wing generates allot of lift and with the power I have on mine it climbs with higher throttle settings. More downthrust would help. I just programmed in a down elevator/throttle mix to correct it. Gotta love new radios. A few have even put DA/DL 50's in their planes. They must be insane. With larger gas engines it has a tendency to be nose heavy. I mounted my rudder servo in the tail under the left side elevator servo and made a mount to put the rx battery as far back into the tail as I could reach. I lucked out and it balanced perfect. Myself and some of the others have mentioned how soft the balsa stringers are in the top of the fuselage behind the wing. I snapped one of mine twice and had to put a patch on it from the inside. Either way, for the price it is a good deal. It is a real looker on the ground and in the air.

It would be nice if it weighed under 40 lb so a 150 would fly it really well.. It probably is in the same weight catagory-50-60lbs as the hempel cub? -Make the cowl so a da150 will fit and build the rest of the airplane around it..

Not trying to hi-jack the RC-Guys thread, I have one with a G-26,,, Very scale like.
The Big Super D should be great with a DA-170
