No such thing - opinions are like a-holes - everyone has one. Like saying the Edge is the best of both worlds - definitely a personal opinion and not one shared by many. I'd say that, of the hundreds of planes I have seen at the IMAC contests I went to last year, I could count the number of Edges on my friends right hand - and he had two fingers chopped off by a prop!

Thanks, Bodywerks, none taken!!!

The way I see it, when somebody posts a "best plane, engine, servo, etc." thread, they are asking for opinions as we all know there is NO one right answer!! Simply too much good stuff out there today and too many other variables as well!

I always get a kick out of the F.G. "regulars" that get embroiled and all emotional in these threads!!

I should probably stay completely out of these posts as well, just because I believe the thread-starters could do a little reading around the forums and glean enough info/opinions to make their heads spin!!!

I will, however, sit back with my popcorn and see where this one goes again!!!

Astrohog

Delro XXL Raven. "-Best of both worlds-" in Aerobatic awesome -look at Bernd Beschorners results (TAS and so on...).

you can order the plane how you prefer it,- painted or kit, modifications you want, or even ultra light for electric...

in 3D you have to "know" and to "take the plane right" and find the right setup -if you Do this this plane performs really well -not as good as a plane with a shorter fuselage -but thats a point only a top pilot really can figure out and will notice the difference.

even the GAS version is very light, so with a 150DA and MTW Pipes there is theoretically no need for a 170 ! (3D !/and IMAC).

for electric versions Delro can save nearly about 1kg of weight. (that does not work for GAS versions because of vibrations !)

I had a PAU Edge and got rid of it in under 10 flights, I had a PAU Yak and loved it until some dummy turned on his POC 1970's radio on while I was flying it. I have 3 different sized QQ Yaks and love them. I have a 40% Extra 300 that I really like also.
