Having a problem with the canopy. Initially, it developed a small crack in the plastic around the turtle deck area on the right side after about 4 or 5 flights. Now after about 25 flights, the crack has worsened and a new crack has developed ont he left side.
Has there been a production or other issue that has caused a problem with the canopies? This is rather disappointing. It is otherwise a near perfect airplane. Below are pics of both sides. Looking forward to your answer. |

Here is my thoughts, from the condition of the area where the screw goes in to attach the canopy, it looks as if the canopy may have come loose a few times causing your problems.
This looks like an operator error more than an airframe failure.

It's a little late now but....you take some fine FG cloth in 1/2" wide strips and thinned epoxy....apply just one layer and stuff it tightly in the corner on the inside of that lip. Do this to the entire lip and it will never crack again. You can either paint on the outside or even easier just iron a little piece of matching covering over the crack.
If you ever buy another plane with that same lip, do it right away and never see a problem for the life of the plane. And by the way, any plane can do that. Not limited to any brand.
