What a nice Tread!
I'm a CNC programer in 4axis CNC Haas machine centers and we got a 3500 watts laser machine also here (work) . I'm using Mastercam 9,X Metametion, diamonsoft for the laser and solidworks and autocad for drawing purposes. If you need some kind of conversion of almost any kind of cad file. I can for sure give you a hand. I will try to post some laser cuts projects that I have been doing. REgards !!! |

I thought about doing a mold for pilots but you need a bunch of molds to cover all the sizes so I just cut the foam pilot on the cnc mill, you can resize it easy on the mill !

You will need a block of foam 5.5 thick(top to bottom) 8 inches in X (right to left) and 9.5 in Y (in and out) I mount the block of foam to a indexing fixture it will not hurt if your foam block it longer so your cutter will not run into your indexing fixture in X so make it 8.5 long zero Y in middle of block or CL of indexing fixture zero X at left edge of foam block and zero Z so center of ball end mill is on center of indexing fixture and move up 2.75 in Z and zero again because z will move down from Z zero 2.75 and then move Y axis and Z will move up as it cuts in Y if you under stand me if not ask and I'll try to give a better explanation.

Well I did a reversal on that file so it will be like a mold or female cut not a male cut so try this file I changed it to be like it was supposed to be, sorry about that don't run that other file run this one.

It is little risky, since the Z axes will go down to Z-2.5 in the first steps of the program. But Now Im thinking in transforming this data into a 3D model. NOw I have bunch of work, but this is something that I will definitly going to do in the near future. Regards ! |
