I have a new Magic Hand 30% Yak (old lady suprised me for Xmas, she's a keeper), and a brand new DL-50. I would like to put a canister on it to quiet it down a little. My field doesn't really have a noise problem, but we don't want one either. Paying what you have to for a factory canister is not an option, I'll just put the stock muffler on and call it a day. I've read bunches on building a canister out of the aluminum beer bottles. Does anyone have a proven schematic for building one, so I don't have to reinvent the wheel. Any feedback on the Durafix brazing rods would be cool too.
Also, any tips specific to the MH Yak that I should know before building? Thanks to Bonejuster for directing my wife on what to buy. Thanks Bill |

There are some after market headers and cans available for way less than big name brands. I have a couple for my DL 100 and they are quiet well made. worth about $70bucks for the can and flexible header. I think I saw some on ebay.
