Default Problem rebinding 2.4 rcvr when changing radios

I'm trying to rebind my 2.4 rcvrs to a new radio and have four that will rebind and three that won't. If I use the 9303 the three that won't rebind work just fine but when I try to rebind them the 12X, they won't rebind. I contacted Horizon they couldn't come up with a reason for this. Any help would be greatly appreciated. SENT THE RCVRS TO HORIZON. GOT TIRED OF MESSING WITH THEM. THANKS FOR THE REPLIES.

Try holding the transmitter antenna very close to the reciever when pushing the button. I had trouble binding a couple of 6014's to a 12fg recently, and accidently got really close, and boom it bound.

I'll try that tomorrow but I had the antenna pretty close while I tried the rebinding. Thanks

Well a couple of thoughts;

You say when you use the 9303 they work fine, is it an X9303 or an XP with a module? There is slightly different information programmed into the rx with a native system so the ModelMatch works. Have you tried re-binding those three rx's with the 9303 or just gone back to see if they still work?

Contrary to the advice given for the FASST system, sometimes you can be too close and it'll swamp the rx. I've never had that issue, but I've seen others report the difficulty which was solved by moving a bit further away.

Are the offending rx's going into the bind mode with the rapidly flashing lights on all the rx's including the satellite rx's for the ones with satellites? Are any of them AR6000's? Some of those just don't want to play with the DSM2 tx's.

If the rx's are going into the bind mode and will re-bind with the 9303 but not the 12X, then I'm stumped and it sounds like they'll need to go see Horizon. All of my rx's re-bound to my 12X from the X9303 with no hiccups at all.

The 9303 is the X9303. I didn't try rebinding to the 9303 just checked to see if the rcvr worked. I'll try rebinding this evening. When I set the rcvrs up in bind mode the lights don't flash only one faint flash when I turn the 3 way switch on. The rcvrs are two 6200 and one 921. I'll also try the moving farther away from the rcvr to see if that helps. Thanks

What is a 3-way switch? If you have any switches or extensions inline between the bind plug and receiver, remove them to eliminate them as a possible fault. I had a similar situation with a 9100 - I'd plug the bind plug in and turn power on and get a single blink and then nothing. Turned out to be a bad extension between the bind plug and rx. If your rx's aren't blinking then they aren't in bind mode.

My bad It's a three wire switch not a three way. I guess I'll just send them to Horizon to be checked out. Just seems odd that they all work with the 9303 but these thre won't rebind. Thanks for the reply.

Before you do that try plugging the bind plug directly into the bind port. You can put power into the receiver from any servo port.

The transmitter you are using is irrelevant. You don't even need a transmitter, just put the bind plug directly into the bind port and apply power, all receivers should start blinking rapidly. If that happens you can then turn the transmitter on with the button pushed to complete the bind process.

Yep - Do what Wildhare has suggested - If you don't get the LEDs flashing (no Tx required at this stage) when you have the bind plug in and have switched the Rx's on then you ain't going to get past 1st base.

Remove any plugs/switch harnesses etc from the bind port and plug the standard bind plug directly into the bind port.

Apply power to the Rx via one of the servo ports and you then should have the LEDs on the Rx's fast flashing.

Once all the LEDs are confirmed to be flashing fast - only then can you proceed with binding to a Tx. If you have no or only some flashing LEDs on the Rx's then the system will not bind at all and may point to a problem related to the Rx's.
