Default Aeroworks 50cc Yak CG problems

hello, i have been flying for just 2 months now, i bought a glow .46 trainer and flew for a few weeks, and then i had to go with one of the 3D type planes, but i dont know anything about them really, other than how to fly them (lots of xbox and PC games practice) i never had any help flying my planes but i did read up on how to get them going.

so now i have a 50cc Yak that seems really nose heavy, i moved the Aeroworks 4-1/4" recommended CG back to 4-1/2 and it still seems nose heavy, i was thinking of just keep moving it back until it starts flying right to me, but i thought it would be a good idea to check in here to see if anyone has this plane and has a good 3D CG measurement?? any help would be GREAT! im kinda scared to keep moving it back because i know it will get out of control if i go too far and i dont know enough about these planes to know what is too far.

How does it fly inverted? R u wanting to fly just 3D? I like to fly close to tailheavy, so when inverted i just have to breeze on the elevator.

keep moving it back until it's a little squirrely on landing, then remove 1/4 oz. I arrived at my cg by taping some blue adhesive tape on the horizontal stab and putting 1/4 oz of lead on at a time, then fly and see how it did. My test is no down elevator on a 45 degree inverted upline. I have the same plane and mine is about 4.75" back.

how does flying inverted or flying inverted upwards help you with the CG?

A nose heavy plane inverted will drop its nose. A tail heavy plane inverted would climb. It should almost fly hands off inverted.

I pretty much only want to fly 3D...should i try the inverted 45 degree angle thing for 3D purposes or does it not matter?

It doesnt matter how you fly....a properly balanced plane is the key. IMO you need the plane to slightly come down when inverted, too the nose, not fly hands off, because you need to slightly give down elevator to keep it straight and level. Cg also effects knife edge flight (coupling), so keep this in mind. When you get close everything you move becomes touchy. Tail heavy planes are more unstable in all areas of flight except hovering. It also makes it more difficult to land. Nose heavy planes dont fly well either, and landing is eeven more difficult because you need to carry more airspeed. Weight of the airplane also plays a mojor roll in this equation also, too heavy and they fly bad also, drop wings, snap out, higher stall speeds etc.... JMO
