Hobbico claims to know nothing about the dots but indepedent test have shown that receivers with dots can handle
more heat. But hobbico who is the sole Futaba repair and distrbutor for the USA will not even discuss the dots.

The micro 6004 receivers came with gold dots brand new. So what - I just handled them like all my other receivers - mount 'em and go fly. Dot or no dot.
