i'm going to use his idea on my 35% 300. I will only have 2 servos per wing but I like the idea of never getting the wires crossed. The connectors are light weight but kinda pricey

I have also used 6 pin Multiplex connectors when only two servos are needed. You may want to try those. They are keyed and have a very positive connection.

They are also sold as Graupner at Hobby Lobby and have a neat fuselage mount.

Hi guys

I wanted to use the same scheme as the Wreck used, but I deceided to go with some thing different. When I get it I will put some stars on the red.
It is fantastic that you can order a ARF in your very own colour scheme, I have a DA 85 waiting.
Yyeeehhhaaa.

Looks great. I really like the red yellow blue with the checkers on the cowl.

I have already built a ton of these and have tryed differant combos. I think that a 3/4" engine spacer is best overall.

3/4" is right on the money, I used 2 3/8" lasercut plywood spacers from Mark McClelland (McFueler). They work great.

Here was the maiden of mine, sry for the quality : http://vimeo.com/4750441/
I was really enjoying the 3min flight Looked like a good airplane, really light and the 3w 157 was powerfull.
The crash is probably due to undervoltage of the aileron servos.

Thought I would update this thread. The yak is still going strong. The Futaba 9157s are the best servos I have ever had.

Due to noise crackdowns at our field I am installing cans. As you can see from earlier posts I originally put the tank in the can tunnel to center it on the CG.

Well now it has to move. I wanted to keep it on the CG and minimize moving any of the other equipment around. Plus putting it in front of the wing tube would make putting the front wing bolts in a pain. So this how far I have gotten so far. I included a picture when the tank was in the tunnel.

I had to remove one cross brace over the wing tube and one in the canopy. I will add some more support once I finalize equipment locations.

No Problem.

I ordered some can mounts from Chief (they should be in this week). See attached picture. I should be able to adjust them to fit and glue them in. I will also have to put some extensions on the can outlets to get them outside of the cowl. The ones I am using have had the outlets trimmed so they are short.

I will post picture when they are in.

I have the mount installed the Canisters fit really good. I do not have them bolted to the motor just yet. Need to finalize some other stuff.
