We will try and make it this year. I always plan on coming, since it is so close to Atlanta, but it seems life conspires against me.

Here is another update. This plane is turning out better than my expectations. Tony and Pilot-RC have been fantastic. He has emailed about details such as painting the Landing gear, and whether I wanted to put the Pilot-RC logo on the plane or not (I will be proud to sport his logo).

They pay very close attention to detail. In the last picture you can see a note he sent me explaining they will repaint the hatch so that it is red on the bottom with a white stripe so that the paint lines up with the rest of the scheme.

This is like having a plane custom built for me for the price of an ARF.

I am pumped.

Here are the last photos before he ships it to me. It looks great. They repainted the hatch and it really makes the plane look great. I cannot wait. John better get that garage warmed up.

Man, that is way Kewl. After looking at the pictures closely it isn't a SD...or at least not like my 37.5%. What a nice scheme. I bet you will enjoy not just having another cookie cutter model Others will do well to follow Pilot Models lead.

Thanks, I am looking forward to seeing what the RTF weight will be in comparison to the SD models/TTOC yaks.

John - looks awesome! I have started on your old Krill Yak. I've been polishing the paint swirls out and fixing up the cowl, adding baffles etc. Your old Yak is awesome and your new one looks to be as well! I'm sure its going to fly fantastic. It looks to be very lightly constructed too - should be awesome on the 170!

I have a TOC 40% Pitts - built by some of Tony's guys before they left SD/TOC and it is really, really nice quality too.

They sure got your new plane together in a hurry!

That is really awesome.

Pilot really has something going with the custom schemes like that.

Thanks, I will try and be dilligent about posting on the build and definitely post the rtf weight.

There are a few things I want to change. Since I am going to run mufflers I am going to try and fit the tank in the cannister tunnel. That way I can get the tank on the cy. Also I am going to look at doing a push pull on the rudder with the servos in the tail. Hopefully there is enough structure there to accomodate it. I am only putting one servo per elevator so balance should not be an issue.
