It looks to be very lightly constructed too - should be awesome on the 170!

I have a TOC 40% Pitts - built by some of Tony's guys before they left SD/TOC and it is really, really nice quality too.
Glad to hear you are making progress with the Krill. We put a lot of time in on trying to get it right. I am sure it will make a great Imac plane.

Holy Crap Batman its here. DHL looks like they played a game of football with the crates. They were busted apart on the edges in a few places. I was able to get them out of the box for a quick look while here at work, but won't be able to do a complete investigation until tonight and over the weekend.

However, my first look did not reveal any damage to the plane at the areas were the crate was busted.

Pilot RC did a very nice job packing the plane in a wooden crate.

I cannot believe it took 2 days to get here from China. That is faster than Tower can ship servos.

Those darn couriers always beat the heck out of crates! I hope everything is okay, John.

I couldn't resist, I went out at lunch and unwrapped everything and checked everything closely. It appears that no damage was done. Looks like I will be building some this weekend.

There a few things that I noticed that I really like:
The gaps are already sealed top and bottom with matching covering for the ailerons and elevators.
It comes with light aluminum hub wheels that have bronze bushings.
The CF spinner has a CF backplate and is held on with a center screw like Tru-Turn.
Comes with Servo Extension Keepers like the yellow Parson Product ones.
Comes with nice hardware and Turnbuckles (not sure if they are titanium)

Here's a question for the custom Pilot schemes.........

If you need a spare part, how does that work?
