Hey Snap its good to hear back from you. Did you make any progress on your 1/2 scale cub and did you get your 60% 260 yet? I know you always throw a great party! i was truly amazed at last years event! You put in so much effort! IT was awesome! Will we get to see you at the Nall? Kenny, BOB Dave and me and dad are planning on going down this year. I just need to finish up my 580. The one that you saw Kenny fly! He sold it to me! ITs awesome! Thanks Andrew

Hey Snap,

Wherever in Connecticut the Snap a huckfest takes place, the Boyz from New york (formally Cap 580 crew) will be there. This year we plan to have a trailer load of airplanes with us. Looking forward to it alraedy. It just warms my freezing heart.

Andrew, I finished the Cub with a 275 Upfront, flew it and sold it to make room for the 60% 260, expect to see that at the Huckfest, I can fit so many airplanes in my basement, thanks for the compliment about the event and party this year I am trying to make it closer to my house so we don't have to drive as much.

Yea I hope the pitts is ready by then. Should be fun to fly but it will be set up more for IMAC. I will bring something for scaring people though...
You gonna have it at a better field then Woodstock? I flew alot of full scale in CT. and can't imagine where else you could put it and host everybody. Unless you have a private field in mind?

I will have it at a better field, at least I hope, I have 2 options, One is a much bigger airport than Woodstock and it may not be exactly in CT but close by.

hmmmmm.....Look into madison if the old airport is still around. On the beach,with the state park and campgrounds that close it would make for a very good event structure.

Great suggestion the only problem is park flyers and electric guys go to Hammonassett to fly all of the time, which will cause some problems unless the event is 2.4 only.

Lived in Haddam for 6yrs. Flew trainers out of Groton/New London, Instructed out of Windham airport, some corporate and radio work out of Hartford, finally corporate out of waterbury/oxford airport. So I have a little time flying around the area, and northeastern states.
My son is planning a stay at friends while this is going on so he is excited to be going also. I just never liked the drive, seems N.E. Ohio always had orange on all the Highways coming into and out of the state. Somethings never change I guess.

Another idea as well. Not sure if anyone have access/contacts to the old Pratt and Whitney facility/runway that now abuts to Renscheler Field in East Hartford? There used to be a United Way Fly In that was held there even after the new football stadium was built at the far end of the runway. They held the event even after 9/11. Not sure if anyone has a contact there that could get Elie some info.

Would they allow all the extra hours activities? You know overnight camping and such? I am pretty sure being that close to the P&W facility they would have to have extra security.

Another good place would be the Road and Track 9 (or is it car and driver) test facility. Wide open with nice long paved runway on top of a hill. Never been there in person but from the air it has plenty of room.
