Default Jet stolen @ Best In The West 2009

Hey guys,

Paul Baggeman (baggs) JR Team, had a jet stolen on Friday night in Indio California.

Be on the look out for a BVM super bandit that was stolen out of the Fantasy Springs casino parking lot on Saturday night. Also taken was his transmitter, a 12x, and the case it was in. Please be aware should you see the jet show up on a forum, or at A LHS for sale. Here is a photo

Its unmistakeable red with a chrome LE on both wings. It also has new rubber, and drag link struts (different for this aircraft) should it show up re-covered/colored.

Keep an eye on Craigslist. Half the stolen stuff shows up on there.

Too much of this stuff going on.

What are all the contest/event sites considering for ramp security for the future. Recovery rates are too low. We can't cure what has happened but we should be able to put something simple in place at each event to keep those with no reason for access away from pit areas. If it's an event that has 24 hour equipment exposure the security would have to match that time frame.

I'll work for plane parts ! Gimme a super soaker full of Lidocaine and I'll have the perps drooling on themselves.

Man I cannot get over how planes of this caliber can get swiped at a meet. I once tried to buy two planes that I was sure were hot at the risk if losing my own $$$ just so they would be recovered for the rightful owner.

I could tell the guy knew nothing about RC and had a jet and another plane for sell and could not even tell me what they were a model of. I stroked him best I could but my blood was as hot as the planes. He got arrested for something else and the deal never materialized. And if I could remember his name I would still try and get 'em even though it's been four years.
