I have a prototype CRRC pro GP50R coming.
I should have it in a week or so. CRRC Pro is sending it to me to do testing and list my findings. I have had CRRC Pro engines 26cc and 50cc and have had great success with them. Low weight, great performance and reliablity. This new GP50R will have a CNC machined case, dual bearings on the crank, single ringed piston, rear inducted carb, etc. ( DA/DL mufflers will fit this engine ) Factory numbers on the 1st run of prototype #1 were and idle of 1450 rpm and a top of 6850 rpm with a JFX 22 X 8. ( that was the 1st tank ). Now factory number claims are 7400 rpm with the JFX 22 X 8. The props will need to be drilled with a unique 6 bolt pattern that will only fit this engine. Maybe this will change and go to a hub that will mix match with other engines such as the DA/DL's. I will need to gather up some 20"-23" props of different brands to use as test props for rpm #'s since when they get drilled they will only fit this engine. Anyone with any props willing to donate for test all will be welcome. ![]() After some bench test, it will go into a 50cc extra for flight performance. When it comes, I will take my own pictures, weights, and opinions and let you guys see what I will have. This engine is designed to run against DA and DL-50's. I know that my CRRC Pro GF26I is a power house and I only can keep my fingers crossed for this new 50cc engine. Here are a few pictures that were sent to me. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Looks nice... I had a crrc 50, a few troubles with it, but it runs nicely in my GP 27% extra... I'll be looking at this closely. any news on a price?

Mike, you are going to like this engine. In fact the engine pictured in your post (ser. #0007) is mounted on my TT-TOC Yak and has been yanking it around for a month or so. Go to it and have some fun!

The hub actually looks like it came from an Evolution. Probably the same pattern.

OK, enigine came today.
All looks very very good. My engine included: Engine, pitts muffler, ignition, stand-offs, sparkplug, wrenches, prop jig, all nessesary bolt, washer & gaskets. Weights are as follows: Base engine with prop bolts and prop washer............. 3 lbs 1.6 oz. Pitts muffler, muffler bolts and gasket......................... 5.5 oz. Ignition CDI unit .................................................. ..... 3.9 oz. That is 3 lbs 11 oz or 3.68 lbs or 58.88 oz. My DL-50 with the stock ( light ) muffler came in at a total of: 3 lbs 7 1/2 oz or 3.46 lbs or 55.4 oz. So the CRRC GP50R is 3 1/2 oz heavier then my DL-50 , but has a heavier pitts muffler. Both fitted with the DL-50 muffler, the CRRC is only 1 1/2 oz. heavier. CNC work on the engine case is very clean and on the money. Head casting fins are a little wavey, but not a big deal to say the least. Sparkplug threads are clean and sloop free. Prop main shaft is drilled for a spinner and is 10mm in dia. Engine mounting tabs are ( CNC milled case ) 8.5mm thick. Carb is a Walbro ( there are two numbers ) WT ( 841 ) ( 907 ) and carb is fitted with a venturi. Ignition is the CRRC Pro auto advance CDI unit that runs on 4.8V batteries. This engine was factory started and run, but needs to have break-in done to it. I have some test props coming for rpm test ( JFX 22 X 8, 22 X 10, 23 X 8 ) and ( Xoar 22 X 8, 23 X 8, 23A 3-D ). Hopefully I will get some other brands for testing also. Until props come I am not going to be able to do any run in time and rpm figures. A Vess or Mejzlik would be nice to try ( hint , hint ).Any question, fire away and I will see if I can answer them. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I just laid prop jig to prop jig and this 50cc is the same prop bolt pattern as the DA/DL-100's.

I have one of the stock mufflers from my DL-100 that I will run on this engine also to get some rpm numbers from a stock style DA/DL muffler set-up instead of the CRRC pitts only.
I will do it both ways, but we will be able to compare better with the same style mufflers.

You'll have to mount the motor on it's side i take it? Does the stock exhaust make it so you can mount it inverted?

Yeh, Just using the DL-100 muffler for RPM number testing to compare it to a DA or DL with a stock muffler.
I have the DL-100 mufflers on hand, so I wouldn't need to buy a DA-50/DL-50 muffler. When the engine goes into the air it will more then likely have the pitts on it, unless there is a big rpm differeance.

O.K., did some running today.
I ran a light loading Xoar 20 X 8 ( That's all I had ). I used one of my DL-100 mufflers to make a equal comparison to have the same style muffler as the DA-50 and DL-50. Ran 32 oz. through it @ 40:1 Pennzoil Aircooled. Only took it to 3500 rpm because of the small prop. I just wanted to get some time in on it. Then, the mail lady came with some props. I put on a JFX 23 X 8 for some numbers. I leaned the low needle in a little. Turned the JFX 23 X 8 @ 6930 rpm with a idle of 1900 rpm and that's with only the 32 oz. run through it. I have a JFX 22 X 10, and some more ( JFX & Xoars ) coming for more testing. That's all for today, 21 degrees and 15 mph winds.................I'm staying inside. ![]() ![]()

We just received a case of these engines from CRRC and it looks like the finished product will have a red prop hub (the one pictured is blue) to match the stand-offs, looks like a winner to me.
