The day did get even better as my shorts progressively dried out too! My dead stick swap crash/landing could not have been much less traumatic to the plane. Looks like I glue the elevator back together (all the pieces still there) and re cover. Bend the gear back (for third time ) and then I can deal with the fuel-electrical? problem! Gotta Love this hobby!
Hey Mark, Did you ever figure out what caused the dead stick and how is the repair going? Lucky!
I don't know what it is, but when you come back We're going to take a chicken egg and pass it all over you and then bury it in the north corner to get rid of the bad juju. You might be good to go since you already sacrificed a pair of shoes to the field gods, but we'll still do the egg for insurance. Looking forward to your next visit and hope the BS sesion made up for the incident.

Carl don't you wish you had one of these when your ignition was acting up last week? I got a few and more on the way.

These were released just this week and I believe I am the first in the states to carry them. Not a bad tool to have in your toolbox for under ten bucks. Also in today is a hall sensor tester but I need to get some watch batteries to run it and test it. This one is cool because not only can you test your hall sensor but it comes with a degree wheel so that you can properly set the timing to the recommended 28 to 30 degrees electronically.
