It's a Aviation Models with a DA-50..... My Dad bought it from "Chief" as a combo for $1K for his first gasser.... It flies really nice!!! "Great" color scheme in the air...

I stripped the fuse down last night and there is PLENTY weight that can be shed !
I'll start by opening up the holes near the rear.
There is solid blocks of balsa that finish the turtle deck around the fin that can be lightened.
And... my gosh.... the equipment tray almost runs the entire length of the hatch.... MOST of that can go.
And I'm sure I'll find other things that can be lightened.

I am gonna start a Sukhoi on a DIET thread.

The area I marked on the side for removal is all 3/32 PLYWOOD !
It switches to balsa over the wing socket.
This thing is WAY overbuilt, but I've got a good structure to work with !
