I guess the only good thing, is that it might limit the number of pilots, allowing the ones that do pay to fly more often.

Also, lets not mention full scale every hour, where we have to stand down, while they fly. Hmmmm, I wonder if that will be the same this year.

However, it would have been nice for Fantasy of Flight to continue with same tradition in the past of the event supporters getting a break on admissions. It is sad that a good event, can make the wrong decisions, with the best of intentions.
Jason & Carl,

I agree with you guys!! RC pilots & crew should not be charged!! It’s not like an open fly-in we have to adhere to their schedule... And we have to pay for it??

If it was a fun fly with open flying then you could charge or make a donation. But, with our participation we are generating the revenue for FOF and we have to pay too... What's Kemit need some gas money?? I think that’s crap!!

Haven't made up my mind yet. C.J. wants to go.
Do you have to be a IMAA member also to fly? I think mine is expired. I don't know where my flyer is, the trash or buried somewhere.

Stop the hate. That guy has had a hard life:

"In his mid-20s fate rained money on him--the result of a business deal forged years earlier by his grandfather, Lewis Weeks. As recounted in a June 1974 FORBES story, Lewis, after years of finding oil for Standard Oil of New Jersey as its chief geologist, retired in 1958 and set up shop as a consultant. When Australia's Broken Hill Proprietary (now BHP Billiton) asked him where to drill, he pointed it to the Bass Strait, 30 miles southeast of Melbourne. As to a fee, Lewis said he didn't want one--he was doing nicely on his pension. Instead he asked for a 2.5% royalty (which he intended to share with his descendants)."

I would like to go !
I just looked at the flyer and it doesn't say anything about IMAA.
I do remember the last time there we had to sign up for IMAA on site.
Guess we can always do it there again.

Did you check out the field on the camera today? There was a major dent put in the work that was to be done. The gate was moved back, entry road was filled and graded, a pad cut for the patio at the shed, runway was rolled, and grass was cut. There was probably more done, but that was I noticed. The guys did an awesome job!!!
