Had a good time at the field today. I was able to get in three good long flights. On the third flight I ran out of fuel on the runway before I could taxi back. I had a short walk to retrieve the plane. My neighbor Jason really enjoyed watching the planes fly and was disappointed he didn't bring a camera for pictures. I told him he needs to go with me on a weekend so he can see a lot more planes and meet more of the guys. He enjoyed lunch with the crew also. The stories at the table kept him amused. I think he's hooked on the soup and salad at Colorado's, as he wore out the waiter's shoes.
Looking forward to the weekend already.

Carl you are right about the weight, my Python with the DA 50 on it comes in at 17 Lbs and that with two wings and two extra servos... It might need to be a project like Jim is working on ...

If you guys are talking about getting a crack in your prop hub right where you add your velcro and ca or felt and ca,I did some research today and ran into a guy that kept cracking his hubs too(he had pictures).I'm going to stick some bb's on some tape until it's balanced and then drill small holes to put the bb's in and fill with jb weld.A guy at fg said he's never had a problem doing it that way.seems like a pretty clean way to go.Just thought I'd share it.

No George, we were talking about the prop hub on motor. Some DL100's had defective hubs like mine. I changed to upgraded hub.
I never drilled a hub on prop to add weight, I've drilled the heavy side to remove material. The CA on the hub isn't the prettiest, but the fastest. The spinner hides it anywho.

Richard been away from electrics to long. Try posting this on RC Groups on the Orlando E Zone thread under club talk. Somebody should have some info if not a SC for sale.

I played with the new Rcexl tachometer just now. It plugs into your hall sensor with a Y and is just a reader, no memory or peak stuff. No battery, just the Y. I used an extension to bring the unit back to the cockpit area. Seems to be well built.

Very visible in broad daylight as you can see in picture. After I put tinted canopy on it was still easy to read. Shown here is an idle of 1,720 rpm. Operates from 3.5 to 8.4 v, is 41x17x12mm in dimensions and weighs 8.5 grams.

I tried to video it but the led's cycle too fast and it don't look right. Rock solid with the naked eye though. Got em in stock. Bling, bling!!
