Yeah, weather permitting. 32 oz! Wow you will never use that up with your short flight times Pete

Well then why add the additional fuel weight if you are looking for 10 to 15 minutes of flight time?

I think Pete is more concerned with having the extra fuel incase he encounters bandits on one of his missions!! The fuel weight is a non factor!!! He is already carrying plenty of ordinates to deliver on target. The reserve fuel will get him to the target and back to base safely!!!

That extra 10 ounces of fuel verse a 22 ounce tank.

One Gallon of Gas weighs 6.10 pounds (97.52 ounces)

128 ounces in a gallon. 16 ounces in a pound.

97.52/128= .76 of an ounce weight = 1 ounce of fuel.

Thats 7.6 ounces of weight more verse a 22 ounce gas tank or 6 ounces of weight more verse a 24 ounce gas tank.

So half a pound .5/ 35 pound warbird equals a weight increase 1.4 %. So it is not likely that a 35 pound 96" warbird is going to get extra performance and a better flight envelope by dropping 1.4%. I'll let you know how much better it flies towards the end of my 10 minute flight and I burn off the 1.4% weight. Don't worry Dave I will extend my 8 minute flight time just to find out!

Yeah and with that extra fuel it might fly all the way back to the factory when you get radio lock out!!!

Or better yet, when your throttle servo locks out at 1/4 throttle. Saw it on a 50cc bi-plane at the Daytona field. I believe it was 35 minutes before it ran out....course he did not have an ignition kill switch or choke on servo....

Hey Greg,

You get your 3 blade yet? Is all ok?

Thanks,

Richard
