The "Warbird" event was Hugh a lot of spectators came out!!! Mike gave a special shout out too those who didn't show....

I don't know if the spectators came out to see the planes?? or they heard a "New" cook was cooking for the event!!! The food was excellent!!!

Here's the rest of the pics from Jax. I didn't take that many pics we were to busy checking the planes out, watching the on the deck manuvers, and talking to people from all over the country. It was good to see old friends again and meeting new people. There were flyers from the four corners of the country and some flew in just to watch and be part of it.
The road trip there was uneventful. As usual we took the "High Road" you know 295 around the city. The ride took less than two hours to the field. Gateway R/C is a really nice place. It's in the middle of nowhere, secluded, but not that far away from everything.

The warbird event, as always, was a blast! Ray's Moraine Saulnier with the handbuilt rotary was VERY IMPRESSIVE! The unmistakeable sound of a rotary. What a great club we have!!! Scott |

I have to second that! Its great to have such a great event so close by! I have to love my 25 minute drive time with no bike week traffic on 46. If it was little less windy it would have been perfect. Phil and the guys did an outstanding job. Thanks for the compliments, It was your CA Sott. The WWI CA gave me luck for the cross just like how you do it!
