Two solid attempts were made on blacksheep ace Pappy Boyington late in the day. Both pilots failed to inflect any damage to Boyington's aircraft. Some may call it luck, some may call it skill. Either way Pappy survived, only to witness the mass destruction. After numerous low passes to survey the damage Pappy pulled a victory roll and landed. He smoked a cigar a recounted the daily events with the rest of the blacksheep. Boyington doesn't issue second chances or rainchecks.
