Default One would think this would be easy....

but for me, well, not quite. When some people in this world are making harder decisions I can't decide on what color to get. I will go into detail on my equipment ideas, that is seeming easier than the color. I would like to try a bigger plane this year and move up from my Air Wild 29% 260 that's in need of some repair. After thinking of getting another airframe for my DA 50, I've decided to try bigger. I'm going for an Extreme Flight 110" Yak 54 and it will be put together with a budget in mind. This will probably be the only plane I'll fly this year as I stick to one plane until it'll fly no more so all my eggs will be in one basket as usual. So I want to get some good equipment together, but still only spend money on necessary items.

The servos I put in my 260 were marginal and I don't want to do this again. I want good servos that will transfer over to another airframe sometime. I'm leaning towards either the JR 8711 or the new Hitec 7950TG. Most likely I'll go for the Hitec because of the titanidum gears as I want servos that'll last for another ship. As for the engine the DL 100 is intriguing, but I just got done dealing with DA a few months back and the customer service ended up being great. Not to say that DL service couldn't be good, I just like going with brands that have been around for a while so that down the road a few years later, the company will still be in business. If money is tight a DA 85 may be put in, but I would like to have the smoothness of a twin. Some say the 85 is almost as smooth as a twin and others say it shakes worse that a 50. A bit extra weight might help with IMAC style flying on windy days and the smoothness of the twin will be a welcome.

For the power system, Quest/Smart-Fly PowerSystem Sport Plus if I go with Hitec servos so I can get a programmer and program them in hopes to save some money on future projects. I want to go with lipo packs for the shorter charge times and less weight. I'm not sure on what kind of cell chemistry I should choose though. I'd like something that isn't going to catch my plane on fire while I'm charging it!!!!

A smoke system is to be put in so perhaps if the 85 is chosen than the weight of the smoke system would bring it closer to the weight of the 100 with no smoke.

My current JR 8103 transmitter will most likely be getting a new Nimh battery to freshen it up so I'll be sticking to the FM band for now unless I have more dough.

As for what I started this thread on, the color decision, I'm leaning towards the yellow and black or the red, white, and silver. I want the most visible scheme I can get as I fly in mostly overcast skies so I need a good contrast against those drab whitish skies. Yellow and black seems to be the ticket, but the black just isn't one my favorite colors. The red looks good against a green and dark blue background, but I'm not sure about overcast? So what do you guys think? The yellow/black is a good manly look for a big brute of a plane while the red gives it a flashy look. So perhaps I have a coin toss in order or I need to buy two? The latter is not an option though so I've got to decide.
