It does have a nasty recoil...One shot at the fireing range silences all the other weapons and it packs a punch. I have not fired it in almost a year...but I have not had any problems with it. Its about 12 years old...and still looks as new as the day I bought it. It is a weapon that really does not have to be fired to command respect. You can just about stuff a golf ball down the barrel of it (yes an exaggeration), but to see the opening that size this thing has...would scare the living you know what out of any perp.

I am. More of a 357 and 44 mag kind of guy. Love my 8 shot 357 s&w performance center revolver. I also have a scandium 5 shot snub nose 357. You don't recoil till you shoot that baby. Easily twice as bad as the S&W 500 mag. The scandium 44 is almost as bad.

My uncle has the Desert Eagle 50AE. With the pimped out gold plating. You just have to hold it sideways when you shoot it. It is actually more accurate when shoot ing from the with Dow of a slow moving car.

I leave the house every morning with one on the hip... one in the rack, and one in the trunk!
{Does that count?}

In my 19th year with OCPD. Have a fairly small arsenal at home, but I'm a Firearm Instructor and have access to the entire City range vault!! There are a handful of Thompson Sub-machine guns
still in the inventory left over from the 1930's !!... Talk about a kick in the pants!!?? Run a full drum-magazine through one of those and anything else just feels like a cap gun!!

I would feel sorry for anyone who came in while my 15 YOA son is home alone too!! He has been
properly trained with a handgun and would make life very unpleasant for any would be burglar!!

I just hope we don't lose our right to bear arms!! I'm not a gun nut, but I firmly believe in our right to do just that! Responsible gun owner's don't cause crime anymore than responsible beer drinkers cause DUI's!!

When they outlaw guns... Only Outlaw's will have guns!!

To bad its against AMA policy to combined guns and planes, just think of the destruction !!.

Snap-a-Saurus could change his name to Cap-a-Saurus and fly around busting caps in punk a$$ Bihotches. That would make a cool huckfest.

.50 is more a conversation piece, but fun to shoot once and a while. I like to shoot long range, like 5-8 hundred yards.

Ok... real shocker here.... Yes, i own guns!

i'm from the midwest! shotguns and rifles are a part of life here. i have had a few handguns in the past but i've always sold them to buy more shotguns. i used to pheasant hunt quite a bit and occasionally went after bambi, but most of the guns i have i just look at and appreciate. i enjoy trap and skeet at some of the local clubs but i certainly wouldn't consider myself proficient in either....

i am one that definitely appreciates my rights to have them and to be safe with them!!!!!
