Desperate - Need Help!
I have no choice but to ask the greatest people on earth for some suggestions or to spread the word about something. I am looking for either a whole Jack Stafford Ercoupe kit, or an interior, canopy and cowl for it. I have a dear friend, Bill Coons. Bill used to do reviews for Model Airplane News and RCModeler magazine and helped to fly the very first RC drones in the WWII era. Bill was involved with TDC2 Culver Cadets and even wrote a book about it called "Shoot ONLY at the Red Airplane" Bill is the kind of guy who if you sat down and talked to him for 30 minutes, you would NOT want to stop talking. He's done everything and been everywhere and knows EVERYONE. I have yet been to an aviation event with him where he didn't know someone.
Bill owns an old Ercoupe which he has sold to the company I work for and he's given me his old Jack Stafford Ercoupe Model for me to restore. The interior kit, canopy and cowl need to be replaced. I'm going to restore the rest of the model and do some scale stuff and do a nice new paint job on it. Does anyone have any suggestions or leads for me to go on? I'm at a loss. Google is no help, so I thought I'd see what you guys thought...Thanks for reading my babble!

Mike, I have a need for a canopy for a Stafford Ercoupe as well. Mine is only mildly damaged and might be used (taped up) to make a mold and then to pull (heat shrink??) a new one out of acetate or some such. If you have the skill and would make one for me as well, we might be able to at least address that piece of the problem. I also know where there is what I believe to be an unopened kit that belongs to a friend of mine. Not sure of price but if you are interested I'd find out. regards,jimdonick
