Hello Giant Flyers!
I'm Jim from Ottawa Canada. I don't actually own a giant scale yet, but I have started moving that direction... I started on some foamie newbie starters, have moved up to slightly larger balsa-builts, and am currently "building" a Hyperion Super Chipmunk 70e (64" wingspan... ~17%?).
I only fly electric at this time, so I don't think I'll be getting into the 100"+ range immediately. When I do, it will probably be with a "classical" scale plane... i.e. a true-to-scale of something with historical significance, or personal preference, for general sport flying or at most, basic sport aerobatics. I'm not into the crazy 3D stuff that's popular right now... I appreciate it, and enjoy watching it, it's just not my thing. Anyway... here I am! I'm looking forward to reading the posts, asking questions, gaining knowledge! Cheers, |
