Hitec has great customer service. I'd buy one if I didn't just pick up a 9303.

They have their own brand that looks to be compatible with Futaba. http://www.hitecrcd.com/receivers/sh...Optima+7+Combo

Compatible with Futaba ? Isn't the Hitec module upside down relative to the Futaba ?
So if you want a midline radio this year you will have to choose from the X9303, 10C, ATX, and Hitec. Anyone else got one in the works ? |

I saw no indication that this system would be compatible with Futaba. It says that the Hitech system used an "Adaptive Frequency Hoping" system that selects the clearest channels to use. Who knows what that really means. Even if the frequency selection, and hopping was identical to Futaba, it is very unlikely that the encoding and other protocols would be compatible. For the time being, it looks like we will be tied to the radio manufacturers proprietary systems for both TX, and RX. They want it that way.

I think he meant that you could plug the Hitec module into a Futaba transmitter and then use the Hitec receiver. People used to buy Futaba synthesized modules and use them in Hitec transmitters. But they plugged in upside down.

I plan on attending the WRAM show on the 21st with two other guys from the club, one is dieing to get his hands on the new 10 channel ATX, now he has two to look at, decisions, decisions
![]() All this competition is good for all parties, hey if you have a Futaba module based radio, now you probably can add Hitec to the list of modules you can use ![]() Pete

Although it's in German, here's the '09 Hitec catalog with more pictures at least.
http://www.hitecrc.de/store/dokument...Hitec_09_D.pdfThe english version should be up on the Hitec USA site soon. Mike |
