I have a 7985 on my throttle that has started to exhibit this problem. The last couple of flight I have noticed that my throttle wil go up bounce down and then back up this happens at about 3/4 throttle.

I am going to send the servo back. I dont want to take a chance on my throttle acting up when I am flying slow and low.

I'm pretty sure the MPI 20gauge is heavier. Unfortunately they only sell 48" extensions in that size, not bulk. I think the airwild is similar to radical rc's 20gauge, 85 strands @ .003" , is that what you got?

Mike, it seems like the commonality in North America maybe with JR / Spectrum "Power safe receivers" these are what willmottd and Norio79
are using and having issues with the 7950's. The Power safe receivers are a little bit of a different animal than the regular stuff and are what I was planning on using with the 7950's.

Mike, can you do some more testing!
Johnny.

I measured .0025" and counted 95 strands for the airwild

For the guys using Jr/Spektrum Power safe receivers.... are the problems with just the 7950's and/or the 7955's too?

Khedge is the glitch in the house near some florescent lights? while i set up my H9 35% extra last winter i had some intermitent glitching in the house but found no issues when i was outside. Sent the radio in just to be safe and it was found to be free from any problems. Saw others who had the same issue while inside near some lights. FYI jr 8711 servos and ar9100 rx the plane flew all summer without another issue that was related to servo or rx.

I was setting up my plane on the table in the dinning room. There is a ceiling fan but it does not have the florescent lights in it. Hitec called and said that one of my 7950's had a bad amp and the other was fine. I will get them back program them and then I'll let you know the results. I believe everything should be fine now.

Definitely check out the MPI's they're 100 strand @ .004" The casing measures about .070" and will squeeze into a stock connector. The only downside is the casing isn't silicone and they don't offer it in bulk.

I didn't experience issues with my 7955's and wasn't using twisting either. Only the 7950's. I put a Smart fly regulator on set at about 6volts and are working. Also, the light thing???? I had issues in or out. I didn't find that to be an issue. Mike, would you like mine back to do some testing with?

Subscribed,

I was planing on using 8 7950's in a 40 % Carden with a Jr 1222 powersafe receiver. I am a bit concerned that both people here experiencing issues were using the powersafe receiver line. Hopefully Hitec will test these servos with the power safe stuff. I really don't want to go with the JR HV servos I have used hitec for ever.

Anyone using these with a powersafe set up please post your results

Mike Mayberry, maybe you could chime in here, I think a lot of us myself included are going for the lighter weight option of running one servo vs two and the lightest option is the powersafe receivers with the 7950's, if you are having a problem with this combination could you let us know. I have 8 7950's and a couple power safe receivers on hold at my LHS for over a month now at least show us some courtesy and let us know if you are looking into this so that I can weigh my options.
Thanks
Johnny V.

Well guys I have been playing around with my 7950's on the rudder of my Dalton. They have not glitches once. I have wiggled the extension around put the tx close by and no problem. I am running a JR 922 powersafe rx with a fromeco 5200 blackjack unregulated. One of my servos had a bad amp which hitec replaced. This has stopped the issue. My other servo check out fine and was not glitching in the begining. Everything is good now. Am going to get my elevators hooked up and run the extension, then I'll test again. I have a data logger pluged in and the voltage goes from 8.2 to 8.1 when I work the 2 7950's around pretty hard.
