OK so i got the idea that digital servos buzz (and yes these are my first ones) IE: Digital Virgin LOL
anyway yea it buzzes but because the servos are so damn strong its a little more like a chatter than a buzzzzzzz this is correct right? someone else with these installed can verify that they are a bit noisier than the other digital servos? btw I am running them on 6v non regulated through a 72mhz RX because damnit I just dont trust those 2.4s <<< I am a cheap bastard. I have 2 7950 servos on the rudder of my 35% TOC Yak (overkill) and they don't buzz or chatter at all. It could be the weight of the surface doing it. One of the better purchases I have made was the Hanger 9 inline volt/ampmeter which can check each servo for even the slightest binding problem. In this case with the 7950 a full load can pull well over 4 amps so a bunch of these servos binding can and will pull even an A123 down quickly and possibly shorten the life of the servo. Lets put it this way I am glad that I have the heavier 10-32 rod through the rudder, this is the most powerfull servo I have ever used except for the Seiko.

I wonder how the resolution of these and the other 79XX servos compare to the JR 8711/8711HV or 8611.

Yeah, I'm somewhat interested in the JR 8711HV's but I may go with 7955's and 7950's on my Dalton. Three 8711HV's would be overkill even on a 40%er for ailerons.

Also if you use 8711HV's, Hitec 7950's or 7955, you will not need 3 per aileron. That is like 960 plus in oz of torque per aileron with just two servos

Yeah, I'm seriously thinking of just going with the Hitecs. I can always change them out later if need be.

This may not be an acceptable solution due to flexing in the aileron since there is one less attach point????? Look at what happened with the big PAU Edge when guys started using two servos on the ailerons and only one on the elevators since they had servos with humongus torque outputs. The result is that while there was an issue with the wings on the initial production runs and PAU replaced those, guys are now being warned that PAU will not honor any airframe issues if the recommended servo count isn't used. |

What LiPo's is everyone running on these servos. Assume 40%'er (11 servos total - 2/aileron, 2/stab, 2 rudder, 1 throttle) with 10 minutes of hard cranking 3D. Would like to keep the weight the same as my Fromeco 5200 LiIon packs now....
