Hey guys "unofficially' caught a few shots of Mr. Mike McConville flying the soon to be released Parkzone Sukhoi from Horizon hobbies.
"AWESOME" is the thought that came to mind. It's a fully aerobatic, 3D capable micro plane. And it looks scale!! Weight is around 28 grams, the plane takes a single cell Lipo, and it has POWER, as in full on 3D power. I can really see IMAC contests in small gyms or even a pole barn garage, or outside in the driveway! This thing is a must have! mike said... Cost would be somewhere between $100 - $150 ish bucks, and should be available in the spring (I'm thinking Toledo!) NICE!! I want one!

Yep, I'm with you Sleep--I want one of these too! Never been too big on the micro stuff so far, but this looks like something I'd go for, especially if it's 3D capable. Parkzone has been putting out some winners lately.

Hey Sleepy,
I saw Mike doing rolling harriers and some other 3D stuff, but never saw him hover......Just curious if you did. Wasn't sure if it had the power for hovering

Many of our club members have a ball with the Vapors and Cessna's so I'm sure we'll be waiting anxiously for this baby.........they better have a ton coming over on a boat.

Actually I'd define the Suk as more micro-Imac than 3D. It will do some mild 3D stuff like harriers, rolling harriers and had enough power to hover, but it isnt intended to be a real crazy 3D model. More like doing IMAC in your driveway tha 3D in your house.
It is a blast to fly though. Vertical is enough to climb straight up to the roof of the Armory at eFest from takeoff. |

That is about as Scale as the H9 Su-26 [Canopy shape off, rudder wrong, stab too low etc etc] Other than that its a cool looking plane and I'll probably get one if it comes without a radio so I can use my own. I love the Su-26m

Scale.. scheesche.. tough crowd.
Let me change my description a bit. Instead of a tiny airplane that looks like a flat piece of foam, This BAD ASS little plane is a really small, full fused foam airplane that you can actually fly aerobatics with, that closely (but not TOOOOO closely) resembles a Sukhoi. Better?

Looks like fun, I wonder if it can fly using the eflite packs used on the Blade MCX and Vapor, and if the four-channel radios included with those can bind to the Suky?
