Actually I have owned Both.
The Mini Funtana is a floater, I had a blast with it.
Flew it around 75 times before it met its un timely death.
(Wrong program on the radio, pulled full up, it went full down... )

The mini edge flies a bit faster and heavier but still is a nice flying plane.

All you foamy guys have to realize that both are not replacements for foamies, but an out door air plane.

I would choose the mini funtana for 3D type stuff over the edge.

But thats just my opinion.

I agree with Tony.. as i told you SB, stick with a foamy if you want to 3D and have some fun. It's just hard to have a wood frame that small and still have really light wing loading.. They'll fly, but you can't 3D. just my 2 cent.

another option you may want to consider is the Precision Aerobatics katana mini. I fly one and really love it. It tracks really straight and will slow down nicely as well.

I had the opportunity to fly both a Mini Katana and EF extra back to back. The Katana is a really nice bird. Much better then the E-flight products for 3D The EF Extra outflew all the birds hands down! I have a ME and a MF and both are junk for 3D compared to these two birds. My MF is 17oz so it flys much diffrent then most. It 3D's pretty darn good
