Build the canopy hatch and then mount the cowl. The 260 cowl mounts perfectly by following the instructions and measurements. The alignment with the top of the cowl is great.
Dan... on an ML300 you'll need to sand the top of the cowl on one side and the hatch on the other. The fit isn't as nice as the 260 cowl... just needs a little adjustment.

That was funny Smokin. Not this year i plan on flying every day. Anyway, you need to build the hatch first. Make sure the front former is nice and straight( up and down) Or you'll be sanding the former the fit or adding wood to take the gap out between the former and the cowling.Once you have built the entire hatch then your ready to mount the cowling. I usually mount the cowling a tiny tiny bit below the hatch then I can sand the hatch to fit the cowling. If you do the opposite then it won't look right. On the filler, I use a small tub of drywall mud and a couple of tubes of Elmer's wood filler. Buy a darker color cause by the time you add it to a white mud you'll get the color your looking for. This filler goes on very easy and sands with no effort at all plus if you get the color of the filler close to the wood grain you won't even see the mud once you sand it. Glad I could help. Rob
Matt, you type faster than I do. But I build faster.LOL

Well I got the root rib's glue on the stabs and sheeted the rudder tonight. Pictures tomorrow. It is going really well so far after reading all the post I can't wait to finish it.
I have to order the landing gear it was missing and a few other parts. Tim |

Something was at my front door? Open it and before my eyes are the missing parts to my kit ?? Where did they come from ah Tony. Called him and well he sent them. Can not beat that kind of service. All I did was mention it in a e-mail.
Thanks You Tim

Tony took really good care of me also. I bought the kit from someone off the Circus and it was missing some parts also. He told me the kit was at least 2 years old and he still took care of me. I'm plannig to order another kit as soon as I'm done with this one.
