think about it, in the WONDERFUL Sue happy world we live in, a 40% airplane drops radio contact... flys off and auggers itself into the side of some guys house and the wheel pants continue on and hit the guys dog.
Guess what.
The airplane manufacturer, the engine manufacturer, and if the graphics were on the plane RED BULL now gets sued.
Granted it's unlikely the law suit will pay, but why take that chance?

I'm sure that is why they are so strict with the sign companies making the logos.
Good point, but I wonder why the US Government doesn't take the same approach? Say some warbird guy augers his 95" 35lb Corsair into the side of some guys house. Think he'd sue the government since it says "Marines" on the side? Or worse yet, some guys F-16 turbine hits a house and explodes....must have been the US Air Force's fault.

Seriously, if it were a issue of liability, there wouldn't be stickers and logo's on anybodys plane. JR? Futaba? Who's to blame if the radio caused the crash?

The next time I play golf and slice one into the parking lot and bust out a window, I'll send the bill to Titleist since that's the name on the ball...

The Lockheed lawsuit was certainly about squeezing money out of hobbyists and model manufacturers.

While I agree with you, we live in a time where cowards take the easy way out.
I know of a fellow who was hit by a plane, and sued DA, Mejzlic, du-bro, miles Reed, Hi-tec, and every single other company that had any equipment or gear on the plane. I believe he won several of the law suits.

The US is nuts sometimes.

Trust me, I agree with you too in regards to the leeches of society.

I wonder if Obama will make it all better. You know he's all for a new era of personal responsiblity.
But I digress...

The pocket hinges look great! Lets see some more of the airframe.

But I still say GeeBee R3 in the neighborhood of 15lbs depending on WS/% . But the 2 models I have seen are Beaut's for sure. Of course JMO.

Ummm, yes it has. And in ARC. I happen to have an ARC 87" Laser in my basement.

BUT ! Not near the weight that can be achieved using current building methods.

But for my wish list it would be a Extra 260 or a Cap (now that the SU 26 has been done). Sixteen pounds dry with no fancy power systems in a simple scale (like) scheme that costs $500 or less with good hardware.

In fact a Cap 21 in the White, red, blue Avion Mudrey scheme with scale (close) landing gear would keep me up at night.

A 260 in the Patty Wagstaff scheme with scale flying surface location and a scale canopy and cowl would be too tuff.

They closer to scale appearance with each the better. Sometimes I'd just like to fly a plane that really LOOKS like the plane it is supposed to be. High Stab, even on top of the turtle deck as in the Cap 21 and bottom wing ON the bottom.

Way plenty great flying planes that are stand way off scale.

I'd be all over it ! And guess what ? I'd put a G-62 in it and make mine weigh 16 1/2 lbs ! That would take me back !

Bud Light scheme please !

I'll second the motion for the Cap

Yaks everywhere you look followed by a parade of Edges and Extras

More Caps are needed

Please seriously consider the sheeted foam underbelly for the fuse. A lot of people do not realize how nice it is to have that, and it really does not add much weight if any. Also, go for airframes that few others have out. The yak series is pretty much covered. Laser 200 in a covering scheme that is not starts and stripes, a weeks solution bipe, a christen eagle, an ultimate 20-300, cap 580, just something different, and people will flock to it.

Ok well I stand corrected, I did not know of one. Is it a Lanier maybe?? Still....there isnt any available today other than the little seagull models one. I think that would be the best one to bring back, if it was built lighter than original, then people would flock to it. JMO

Nope, was not a Lanier. The ARC one I can go look at the manual. It is no longer offered. The ARF one though is recent, they called it a Laser 2000. I think I have an article on it around somewhere. I'll look and get back to ya. I still see them I think.

My vote would be for an 88" Panzl. Love the looks of the plane.
