I've got a task for ya'll, if someone could revive the extra 230!!! except this time make the tail stabs fully symetrical so we don't have to see those hideous braces on the tail. This plane was the shiz back in it's day, and I was wondering if someone lcould bring it back to life

Now thats cool too...But it kinda like the "FANTASY" Gee Bee R3, it would only be a certain crowd that would really like them, not the majority, and thats the name of the game. I personally am a round cowl kinda dude.

Thanks for asking and we intend to apply this to the majority of our line in th near future.
Cool design on the hinges, but the elevator servo mount direction is 90 degrees off. There is nothing advantageous to that geometry. Rotate it, and bring the assembly inboards IMHO.

Kangee? I believe that Godfrey offered a Laser 200 kit around that size a while back.(don't remember much about it...)

Way plenty great flying planes that are stand way off scale.
You understand what you're asking for, right? A truly scale Cap will end up at around 18-20% pitch mix and 10-12% roll mix. How much attention are you really paying to the scale aspect of the airplane flying an IMAC or freestyle flight?

As a developer (3D Hobby Shop), I'm trying to walk that thin line between offering reasonably scale airplanes that fly great. I understand the appeal of truly scale airplanes for scale events, but prefer the most pure flying traits possible for aerobatics. As a full scale Sukhoi pilot, I appreciate each airplanes characteristics, but prefer a more pure RC experience. In fact, if I could drop the stab and raise the wing on my Sukhoi (N25SU), I would. Unfortunately, if I did, there would be no room for my legs and the rudder pedals (wing move), and no structure to attach the stab to. Full scale airplanes have significant compromises that just aren't necessary in models.

Thoughts?

Scott

Personally if people want to make a scale plane then they they should do so to perfection then hang it up in a display case with track lighting.
I think everyone knows that a backyard spitfire never will fly like the full size version
I would like to see RC planes designed from the standpoint of pure RC flight performance.
Use your artistic license to make them look wild in the process and people will buy them.
I would like to see something with a Dash of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth, a little thirties round cowl styling, and the freakishness of
the aforementioned R3

Time to get creative
