Just line up 90 degrees to the prop about 10 feet away. Then run, fast, and jump up at the top of the prop and put your shoulder into it. If done correctly you should be able to start the engine, pull off a 0 of 8 and cartwheel off the other side.

Tikka
The reason I am not going to use a Seiko is that it's not enough power, I have a Seiko in my 50% and it's barely enough so it's definitely not going to cut it in the 60%, I am now working on the rudder servos and I am short One 8711 servo so I will start with 4, they will be installed under the stabs 2 on each side for now, One more will be added later, I will post pics as soon as I am done with that setup.
If I was to go with Seiko, I would use 2 of them.

Ok, so then I'll have to use two Seikos. But are you going to have 3 servos on one side, and 2 on the other then? How much voltage do you run your Seiko with, in your 50% ?? I use 3cell Lipo for my Seikos, and that will give about 12.2 volt fully charged and about 2000 oz/inch of torque. But maybe your right, but I don't think an extra Seiko will do any harm, considering the weight of this big beauty anyhow

Elie,
I have ran a couple of our 342's with a 40X11 tennessee wood prop and we turned 4590 rpms. If you calculate that up it is about 170lbs. of thrust. I am thinking that we need to be about 5000 rpm's on the ground. I am going to have Steve make us a 38X13 and a 38X12 and see what kind of rpm's we can get with it. I hope I don't have to buy to many more props as they cost more than 200.00 a piece. I hope to get these props soon as I will be starting on our 2 big extras and our 60% cub next week, I hope. If you have any questions, just call me.
Thanks,
John Light

I think you need two 4400 Duralite LIMN batteries.
NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Tell me, why would you encourage the use of these batteries when there is LITERALLY ZERO advantage to them over A123's, and the only advantage to them over lipos is that they don't catch fire and you can fast charge them - but you still need a regulator, and they are the most expensive rx battery on the market. And they are heavier than even A123.
The only people I see pushing those P.O.S. batteries are people that are sponsored by duralite.
Elie, if you are considering the li-LEAD batteries, you might as well just get A123's...cheaper(less than half the price), lighter, no regulators needed(save even more), won't catch fire, you can fast-charge them, and you can abuse them.

Yes I will have 3 servos on One side and 2 on the other, about 2000 oz of torque, we will find out if it's enough when I fly it, I have the Seiko in 3 other planes with no issues including my 50% Edge with the same setup as yours, I can do knife edge loops on normal days but on a hot humid days I still can do it but it's a struggle, we compared to a friends who had 4 8611as in his 50% Edge and they were about the same, I know the claimed numbers don't add up but that's what happened, So I figured 4 8611 = 1 Seiko, 5 8711 should be plenty for the 60% or 2 Seikos but since I had a lot of 8711 servos that's what I did, however 2 Seikos in the tail maybe a good idea, it also depends on your type of flying.

John
Thanks for your input, from my experience with the 275 I agree we need about 5000 rpm but no more at least for me, I would like to keep the plane as quiet as possible, that's why I went with cans, let me know what comes out.

Man, if you had gotten a two place instead then you would have room for the scooter or a passenger.
