Here is is my planned setup.
Motor will be a 3W 342 with cans.
4 JR 8711 servos per aileron
2 JR 8711 servos per elevator half
5 JR 8711 servos on the rudder, push pull setup
1 JR 8611 throtle
1 JR 8611 Choke
TME smoke pump powered from One of the ignition batteries
Powerbox royale
2 R1221 receivers
2 5200 Li Ion Fromeco batteries (powerbox)
2 2600 Li Ion Fromeco batteries (ignition)
Titanium links
Dubro monster ball links everywhere
12X JR radio

That's all I can think of now, I will add more as I go, this is what I plan to do but I am open for suggestions, here is few pics.

Hey man it looks like your joining the party a little late, if you want some answers to the questions then you should go on TFC, Snap A Saurus left Flying Giants towards the end of this past summer. Its sad, but here's the link to the new hangout and where you can ask him questions and he'll respond, he's a super nice dude, great pilot and will make you laugh till your face hurts. Hope this helps you out bud...

Here's the link to Elie's 60% thread on TFC. (teamflyingcircus.com)

Default Steve Carr 60% Hempel Extra / 3W684 Video

Here is a better of Steve Carr flying his 60% Hempel Extra 260 with the 3W-550 engine.

I like his scale flying style, quite a pilot.

Default RIP Extra

Sadly, Steve Carr's 60% Extra 260 is no more.

It crashed during a flying display last weekend at the South West Model Show in Bath, England last weekend, following an engine failure at high angle of attack. The model fell to the ground from about 100 ft and was totally destroyed. Very sad to see.

Does anyone else know more details of the crash? I saw it happen, but of course don't know what happened when they picked up the pieces. I hope that there is something to salvage although the airframe was totally destroyed.

Hope you get another one Steve- your show is quite stunning!

Wow, what a bummer. So sorry to here that. Unfortunately I know all to well how that feels. My 50% Edge went down last year, that's why I had to get a Version II.

Steve has been in contact with me and has already placed an order for some replacment parts for his 60% Extra. Steve is very much in love with this airplane and he will rebuild and re fly this nice plane! My builders in China have already begun working on these parts for Steve, so maybe he will have it agian flying soon!

Dang. Broken planes are no fun. I'm assuming the muffler on the motor makes is sound like a wead-eater and not some manly 60% plane

Oh, thanks for clearing that up for me, I was wondering about that. I heard so many different numbers on the cc of that engine. Pretty cool to have a unique engine like that. I guess a 684 would be a bit much, or would it?

Is that the 60% Extra going down in the video? If so I guess he changed the color scheme huh.

Good luck with it.
