Reason I am asking is because I ahve a customer installing a 600CC MOTOR in his 60% Extra!! I told him to mount everything in the rudder! lol


Oh yeah, his motor is 20 pounds............ HEAVIER than the 342~!!!!

Bill, definitely he needs to put everything in the tail because the plane is nose heavy to begin with, the airplane is well built, shouldn't be a problem there, would love to see that One.

Yup, This customer is a great modler and lives in England. No worries on weight or limits there. Anyway the airplane should do really well witht the 600cc motor. The motor box is obviously being strengthend and reworked. I am sure once these modifications are made, the airplane will have 40% performance and still have a lighter wing loading.... well maybe. The airframe is very strong so the extra weight in flight should barley be noticable. Even if the plane weighed 130 pounds, it will still feel light as a feather.

I will share photos of this project as I get them.
