Hi.
Does the DX7 SE have enought funktions and mixers to handle a 35% model to 100%? I am also going to use an Emcotec Mini 5 Magic and i can make some of the settings in this! Regards,Richard. |

yes, this radio will do just fine. the EPA's are a little smaller than the 9303's etc but the mixes are generally doable. now, the multiple flight mode capability you get with the higher end radios is a plus but if you are not one that fly's modes it shouldn't matter. i flew my 2.6m compy yak for a season on a dx7 and all was fine...
good luck and happy flying

Hi.
Thank you for an fast ansver! I am still not sure abot that the number of channel is enought in the DX7 for my planes! What about the Emcotec kill switsh, must i have a free channel for it, or can i just put it on the gas channel? Is it any adjustment possibility in the switch for on and off funktion or must i mix an extra channel to it? If so i must have 8 channel or more. I am also going to use a smoke system and choke! Regards,Richard. |

if you are using one side ail, separate from the other in you rx... and you are using smoke, kill, and choke... you need a bigger system. it sounds like 8 channels necessary to me with your set up
1 smoke 2 choke 3 throttle 4 ail L 5 ail R 6 elev 7 rudder (ganged by equalizer or something to only us one rx channel) 8 optic kill maybe the best thing to do is to sell the old dx7 and jump to a 9303!!! i did!

I sold my DX7 and got the 9303, from a very nice FG member through the Swap shop. I was so glad I did. It has made setting up my python with smoke and optical kill so much easier. I also wanted to fly with the 3 flight modes and have the option for a throttle curve if needed. If you can sell the DX7..DO IT and sep up to the 9303.

I use the DX7 on several large planes. You run out of channels if you want smoke and choke. I'm talking about a aerobatic plane, no flaps or retracts. I plan on getting the 9303.
My standard setup, no power expander. 1 Throttle 2 Aile Rt 3 Elevator Half 1 4 Rudder 5 Aux 1 (Aile Lft) 6 Aux 2 Elevator half 2 7 Choke Use 1 8711 on rudder and forget it, no optical kill. |

Hi.
Thank you for all your support. The DX7 is now sold! I am going to get a JR9303 2,4 or a Futaba 10C 2,4. Regards,Richard. |
