Wow now this is real neat, and another great example of Spektrum technology really leading the way. I have the PB Royal, and think that it is a real great product. I didnt use it in my new 40% because with the JR 1222 and the use of A123's I felt there wasnt much of a need. I guess unless I was going use more than 12 servos in something I am still not sure of the advantages with this new Power Box. Can someone give examples of why use new powerbox over R1222? Any idea of price?

R1222 is a power distribution unit that has battery redundancy. New PB offers that plus servo matching for 5 channels, built-in regulators at 5.9 or 7 volts and an LCD that gives you flight data. New PB also has the receiver built-in and place for 4 remote receivers.

I am not sure about the price. This has not be determined yet and there are lots of testing going on at the same time.
I'll be one of the testers but there are other major companies that will be doing extensive testing until that is complete, price won't be announced.

The pictured unit is a functional unit!

I have 6 airplanes, 3 of them with Powerboxes, the last my 60% , imagine how many matchboxes I would have used if I didn't have the Powerbox Royal, I count 8.
I fly JR so this will be perfect for me.
