Default Flying in the NWest?

Can someone list some dates and locations for some upcoming fun fly, events, or other get togethers in the Pacific Northwest?
Something that will have 50cc or larger planes.
I'd like to see some 35 to 40%ers.
I'm in Hermiston Or and there isn't too much going on around here that I know of.

Hey Chris!

We may be a little far North for ya, but check out the "NW IMAC competition" thread. Mid March is an informal get-together at the Bell-Air field North Of Bellingham, WA. There will be a good mix of 50 c.c. to 43% ers!!

Also, don't miss out on the Bell-Air Big Bird event held the first FULL weekend in June! Great event and lots of Giants there as well!

Bell-Air website here: http://bellairflyers.com/

Also, sounds like there will be at least a few of us going to the Spring Big-Bird opener @ Zillah, WA near the end of April. Should be a blast as well!

Zillah website here: http://yvam.com/

LOTS of activity here in the NW, just gotta wait for the weather to clear up!!!

Regards,

Astrohog

Thanks Astrohog that's what I was looking for. Been wanting one of those PAU 36er 540's for a while now and would like to see some in person.

You will not be disappointed with that plane at all.

Also there is a Jet Rally going on at Whidbey Island sometime this year

and Bellair will have its annual Warbird Fly In as well.

Hey Chris, There are a few of us over in Walla Walla with bigger planes, 35% is about as big as you can enjoy flying at our field here, but there are a few larger floating around too. Usually the most fun events are at Gary Weavers up in Othello- Usually in the spring there is a breakfast fly in and memorial and labor day weekend fly ins. Prelly low key, with a good group of people. Last year the field was full end to end with campers! This was shot a couple years ago, at labor day so you can get an idea of the field. &feature=channel_page There are a couple of IMAC events in Tri-Cities and a couple of big bird events in Yakima too..

2Walla, please keep us posted on fly-ins at your field and at Weaver's. I've been trying to find some events to hit this summer that line up with my schedule, so far not a whole lot of luck so any leads you have would be most appreciated.

YES, thanks guy's, really appreciate the info. Looking forward to seeing some of these events and maybe meeting some of you guy's in person.
I'm pretty much alone here in the boonies. No one I know flies. I fly at a guy's crop duster outfit out of town. It's only about 6 miles from my house with a paved runway and NOTHING for miles in any direction so its a pretty good place to fly.
The guy even set up some tables for people if they want to fly out there.
A couple years ago there were a couple other guys with some small stuff that would come out once in a while but I haven't seen them for a while.
