Sorry to hear of your injury Zed Thanks for hooking me up with your thread on this plane I'm not getting any replies on my thread on RC Universe from people who have purchased the plane like you are. Like your self this plane is put on the back burner for a while. I spent to much on pre fishing for a big bass tournament I get into every year 410.00 entry fee plus 267.00 for a new starter in the Fast Strike on my Ranger all to come up short of getting into the payout again. Well there is always next year. I'm still struggling on what servos to go with too. I just perchased a JR 9303 2.4 radio new last month. My plane has a dent in the cannopy and a small dent/tear right where the rudder mounts to the fuse. whitch I plan to cover with a decale. I'll keep watching your thread for more info and chit chat about these planes to, hope your back is getting better.

Hey TVL, welcome over !!! Well thanks for the kind words and I do feel a little better but the dr. just thinks I strained some muscles...I don''t see how as my left foot is going numb but I am able to hobble around the house a little more before everything tightens back up and forces me to lay back down. I'm going a little outta my mind and am very tempted to order the rest of the parts to at least attempt to start something just5 to keep me busy. My vacation plans are shot to hell anyway so who knows I may be purchasing here soon...Just can't let the wife find out...LOL

Hi Zed hope the back is getting better, just curious were you got your good deal on your DL 100. We finally got a tank lining job that I'll be getting some O T on so some parts buying may be in the near future. The smallmouth fishing an hour away from home in DOOR COUNTY WI. usually holds my interest thru fathers day. You guy's that mentioned about the size of the box this plane came in aren't exaggerating it took two UPS drivers to carry it into the house. I couldn't wait to get the two planes I bought at a swap meet/ auction last fall in the air this spring since it has been 20 plus years ago that I got out of the RC sport and am finally getting back into it, but that bass fishing still flows in my veins. I just filled out my AMA application today and will be mailing it out Tues.and yes Laurie and I did go after some sallies today and had a great day on the water. Looking forward to your build, I won't start mine until I have all the parts needed get her airborne. Take care of that back and we will be talking to ya later. Terry

I actually got it here off the swap shop pages...A member here had one new in box and turned out to be a hobby shop from "north of the border"...

Funny thing is I was looking at that exact hobby shop and thinking of ordering one because of the exchange rate and found the deal here and even saved another $120...so to me I came out pretty good...

Hey Zed how's the back coming along, are you able to start putting the Sukhoi together yet. I'm hoping to order some servos or the engine if I find a deal on one that I can't pass up on by the end of this month.

Hey TVL, I'm still down going on my third week but I switched doctors and I have a spine specialist that I'm dealing with now. I actually have another appt. tomorrow and may end up getting the surgery done on Friday. He didn't see me but maybe five minutes and said that I had a BAD herniated disc and that surgery is probably the solution. I agree as this is the second time I injured my back in the same area. The last time (almost 7yrs ago) surgery was suggested but we were about to have our first child so I didn't want to do it and lived with the pain. Then after my little girl was born, she had jaundice (sp.) and I left the hospital to go home and get more clothes and get some things together, I had an accident on the way back to the hospital and ended up hitting a tree in a ditch. I only had bruised ribs but I noticed a few days later that I wasn't in pain anymore. Well I guess I was given a second chance and lived in less pain for all this time with some good days and some bad days but never like before...until the 16th of last month and here I am...Sorry for the long winded post but it kind of explains what I've been through.

As for the Sukhoi I did get the Power Expander EQ10 in and tried out the Power HD 9150's but they still move when I turn the power on to them so I will have to go with another brand digital servo that is compatible with the Futaba FASST system. Other than that I haven't touched the plane. I had to get my brother to help me setup the P/E and servos when he was here cause I cant walk that much but hopefully after this Fri. I'll be back in business and looking for something to do so I'll try to have it going by the end of this month...

Zed

Can't believe when I woke up I was able to sit up and walk just fine. For three weeks I was only able to lay in bed because of the disc pushing on the nerve so badly. I was in absolutely NO pain yesterday but I guess it was still the anesthesia because later that night and today I am a little sore around the incision and I still have a little numbness in my foot but no pain like before.

I want to thank you all for the well wishes. I was a little nervous...OK, a lot nervous going into this surgery not knowing what to expect. So much that I didn't get any sleep the night before because I was so tensed up, so yesterday afterward I pretty much slept all day even when I didn't want to...

Now where's that Sukhoi...I got a plane to put together...LOL !!!
