I'm getting the Tower Hobbies TS-170 digitals...same specs as the 5955's or 7955's...

I'm in the Tower Club so I get $60 bucks off and double warranty plus free shipping so I went for it. These were my back-ups all along. I have one on the rudder of my 50cc Reactor that I'm flying now and it's a little loud but strong...

UPDATE:

Servos made it in and I semi-started the build...got all but the rudder hinged and working on the gear. Should have some servos installed tonight...

Will start an official build thread later when I make more progress...

Yeah I saw that too...well headed to a Big Bird fly-in with my brother so I have to put building on hold today. Got some stuff at the hobby shop yesterday to carry me closer to completion, but I need the time to build on it...LOL

Still have to figure out the gear situation too but I think I came up with a plan...

A friend of mine got the 50cc size and was just having fun with it doing nothing hard and the wing tube bent in the center. I'd take a hard look at your tube before you fly it hard. Dennis

Thanks Dennis !!!

Will do I was actually thinking of trying to get a carbon fiber one but I don't think it is a common size IIRC...

Wouldn't you rather go with Hitec 7955TG for 87.99 with free shipping from Troy Built Models. They have the strongest gears you can get in a servo from what I researched up on. Plus just being one of the most trusted brands out there. Terry

Well yes and no...They are pretty much the same servo as the Hitecs just not programmable. And I saved some money on the shipping and being in the club too.

Here's what I get when I click on Tower's replacement parts set for the gears on a CS-170 and I'm sure the TS-170 is the same...http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXPVU3&P=Z

All Hitec parts down to the case...
